Terms of Service.

1.1 CyberMODE Grid is a mission-based cybersecurity training platform. Phase 1 (MVP) includes 45 courses across 8 pillars, 529 lessons, 1,575 evidence artefacts, and 114 click-based reasoning labs. All labs are simulated: no virtual machines, no live shells, no real systems are accessed or attacked.

1.2 Not a certification. The Service issues achievement records documenting your learning activity. These records are not accredited certifications, professional qualifications, or endorsements by any certification body. In Phase 1, records are local to your account and exportable; a signed registry with Open Badges 3.0 portability is planned for Phase 2. You must not represent an achievement record as an accredited certification.

1.3 Defensive-only content. The curriculum is built exclusively for defensive security education. Courses covering adversary tradecraft (Pillar 09) are read-only, conceptual, and provided solely to help defenders understand what they defend against.

1.4 Phase 2 features. Features described as "Phase 2", "P2", "coming soon", or "in build" (including the Grid Sentinel AI workbench, cohort rooms, instructor reporting, SSO, signed credential registry, SOC 2 attestation, and DPA availability) are roadmap items, not commitments. Timelines are estimates and may change.

2.1 Eligibility. You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must consent to these Terms.

2.2 Registration. Accounts are created with email and password or magic link. Provide accurate information, keep it current, and protect your credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your profile. Report suspected unauthorized access to hello@cybermode.grid immediately.

2.3 Seats. Team Grid (5 seats) and Academy Grid (25 learner + 3 instructor seats) plans assign seats to named individuals. Seats are personal and may not be shared or rotated among multiple people within a billing period, except when a seat holder permanently leaves the team or institution.

2.4 Admin visibility. On Team and Academy plans, plan administrators and instructors can view seat holders' learning progress, lab activity, and achievement records, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you join under a team or academy seat, you acknowledge this visibility.

You agree that you will not:

• use any knowledge, technique, or material from the Service to gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, account, or data, or to otherwise attack, disrupt, or harm any person, organization, or infrastructure;
• use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including computer-misuse, cybercrime, and export-control laws of your jurisdiction (including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumours and Cybercrimes, where applicable);
• copy, share, resell, publish, or redistribute course content, lab scenarios, evidence artefacts, or assessment answers, including posting walkthroughs of lab solutions;
• falsify, alter, or misrepresent an achievement record, or complete labs or assessments on another person's behalf;
• share account credentials or exceed your plan's seat allocation;
• scrape the Service, use automated bulk access, or extract content to train machine-learning models;
• probe, scan, or test the Service's own security, or interfere with its operation — the Service teaches defense; it is not a target. (If you discover a vulnerability, report it responsibly to hello@cybermode.grid);
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

Violation of the unauthorized-access clause above is grounds for immediate termination without refund, and we may report conduct to relevant authorities where the law requires or permits.

4.1 All courses, lessons, labs, evidence artefacts, case studies, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. The Phase 1 catalog is original content authored by Mo Awwad.

4.2 You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the content for your own learning (or, for instructor seats, for teaching your enrolled cohort) while your subscription is active.

4.3 Third-party frameworks. The Service references public frameworks and sources including MITRE ATT&CK®, NIST publications, CISA advisories, and the OWASP Top 10 for educational purposes. CyberMODE Grid is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by MITRE, NIST, CISA, OWASP, Microsoft, or any other organization referenced in course materials. Brand names appearing in simulated phishing or attack scenarios are used solely to teach recognition of real-world abuse of those brands.

5.1 You retain ownership of content you create in the Service — lab reasoning trails, verdicts, notes, portfolio exports, and forum or cohort contributions (Phase 2).

5.2 You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate the Service, including showing your progress to your team or academy administrators where Section 2.4 applies. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to legal retention duties.

5.3 Your achievement records are yours to export and use. We may retain minimal verification data (record ID, issue date, revocation status) to operate the public credential verification endpoint, as described in the Privacy Policy.

When Sentinel launches:

6.1 Sentinel outputs (triage suggestions, severity ratings, MITRE technique mappings, CVE briefs, draft incident reports) are educational and informational only. They are generated by large language models and may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated despite citation features.

6.2 Sentinel is not a substitute for professional security judgment, incident response services, or legal/compliance advice. You remain solely responsible for decisions made in real environments.

6.3 Do not paste live production secrets, personal data of third parties, or classified material into Sentinel.

6.4 Sentinel usage is subject to fair-use limits (e.g., daily request caps) shown in the interface.

7.1 Plans. Learner Grid ($19/month or $180/year), Team Grid ($149/month or $1,428/year, 5 seats), Academy Grid ($399/month or $3,828/year, 25+3 seats), and Enterprise Grid (custom terms) — or as otherwise shown at checkout. Prices are in USD and may be exclusive of applicable taxes.

7.2 Billing. Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on each renewal.

7.3 Cancellation. Cancel any time from the dashboard or by email to hello@cybermode.grid. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then.

7.4 Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes, effective from your next renewal.

7.5 Refunds. Our 14-day refund policy is set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7.6 Enterprise. Enterprise Grid subscriptions are governed by a separately negotiated order form; where it conflicts with these Terms, the order form prevails.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We make no guarantee of employment, career advancement, exam success, or any particular learning outcome. Simulated evidence and scenarios are fictional; any resemblance to real organizations or incidents is coincidental or used for educational illustration.

To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill; (b) we are not liable for any consequence of applying training content in real environments, or for actions you or any third party take based on Service content or Sentinel outputs; and (c) our total aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may modify the Service or these Terms. For material changes to the Terms, we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or prominent in-Service notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, cancel before that date and the Refund Policy's renewal protections apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect intellectual property, and you keep any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

These Terms (with the policies incorporated by reference, and any Enterprise order form) are the entire agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. No waiver is implied from non-enforcement. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale with notice to you.
