// 01 · TARGETFINAL
Our Target
WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance is our engineering baseline for the public website and the command-center.
// 02 · COVERAGEFINAL
Current Coverage (Phase 1)
- Skip link — a "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Keyboard navigation — navigation, course catalog filters, click-based labs, and lab answer selection are operable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators and no traps.
- Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, labeled controls, and meaningful heading structure across the catalog and lesson flow.
- Color and contrast — the dark theme is tuned to meet 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text; severity and verdict states are conveyed by text and icon, never color alone.
- Reflow and zoom — content remains usable at 200% zoom and reflows at 320px width.
- Forms and errors — programmatic labels on all inputs; errors announced to assistive technology.
- Motion — no autoplaying media; animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion.
// 03 · KNOWN GAPSFINAL
Known Limitations and Phase 2 Roadmap
- Mock terminal — the interactive demo terminal is the hardest surface for screen readers. Output announcements via live regions are being improved; every terminal lab has an equivalent click-based path, and we will provide text alternatives for terminal-only content.
- Evidence artefacts — simulated screenshots and network captures are being given full text descriptions; high-priority artefacts first, complete coverage targeted for Phase 2.
- Captions and transcripts for any future video content will ship with that content.
- Accessible record exports — tagged, screen-reader-friendly PDF (PDF/UA) exports of achievement records ship in Phase 2.
- Checkout accessibility — the Stripe payment flow will be audited with assistive technology before billing launches.
- VPAT / conformance report for Academy and Enterprise customers ships with Phase 2.
